Applying the  F I X

Here, I present some stand-alone, if miniature, examples of FIX programs. You may visit their pages, or just save them to disk directly, and then feed it to the FIX processor as "fix filename", or by naming them with a ".fix" extension, and associating fix.exe with that. Then, you may run it at the Windows shell, or with other such platforms.

Heaveno, World!

Here, we have three versions of greeting the world.

The programmer's guide features a short program that produces an MS-DOS .com file, and writes the string "Heaveno, World!" on the screen. It is the example on the FIX main page, explained.

The second example, again produces a .com file, but uses 8086 assembly-like mnemonics for that.

The third one is the Windows '95 .exe files Manual Crafting Example. It uses no include files, and no pointers.
